29. Not in the water - yet

No, Freyja is not in the water. The weather is still a tad cold and over-breezy and I haven't had the time. But we did bump into the lovelee Sue and Gerald at the old quay playing with their super Cornish something boat 'Ammonite'. A barbi was in full swing but since we had brought nothing to the "table" and they were cooking dead animals, we just had a slurp of wine, passed the time of day and shot off when the rain started coming down. Unperturbed, Gerald soon had a tarp rigged for the next two visitors! Still, the anti-fouling is sorted so all will be good when the tide comes back in as it surely will.

28. Sail Stornoway

Did I tell you about Sail Stornoway? It's the local Maritime festival in July with sailing in dinghies, sailing challenges - including the Coronation Cup - and a fine welcome in the harbour. And the Hebridean Celtic Festival will be going on at the same tome so pleanty of happenings.

The weather has gone off now but just had a few days of sunshine and I rather wished Freyja was in the water! Soon, hopefully.

27. I think I'd like to park Freyja there

Nice eh? Snick your boatee in there, throw in that lump of metal with a hook on the end tied to a chain and put the kettle on. Listen to the air. And things. Sheeps probably.

It is somewhere near here. I'll take a lens that has less flare next time I'm down that way!

26. We might go again - but don't tell Freyja

We were talking Eve and I. About the trip we had in Rosie. This is Rosie patiently awaiting our return from a little stroll along the canal here. Despite the cold snowy weather we had a great time. Sailing up and down the lochs, talking to whoever. Looking. Seeing and what have you.

25. Noodling

See, I said we noodled a bit - oop Laggan Avenue - genoa lazily lolliping around but keeping us moving at a knot or two. For a while, till we stopped and headed for the trees. The the chump chump of the engine returned. The noodle was lovely while it lasted though.

24. favourite bits

This is not Eve's favourite way of sailing. Not sure why she did this really since the world looks odd at this angle, my tea spilt and we went a bit fast.

Eve prefers this type of sailing, softly drifting up the canal with the sun glancing a parting blow on her highlights. I don't blame her.
